Artist | Psychologist
I draw for fun, and have done since my early childhood. My passion started with pencil drawings, copying cute animals from magazines and fantasy creatures from book covers. This quickly progressed to digital art, after I discovered Neopets and shortly after, DeviantArt. I bought my first Wacom tablet and made possibly the most awful looking art ever. However, with this new medium, I was able to learn much more and find some good friends along the way.
My artwork took a bit of a side-line after I started my Undergraduate Psychology course for 3 years between 2009 and 2012. At this time, I discovered clay and fabrics. This is when my passion for artisan crafts grew, which I was thrilled to share with my sister and my flatmate at the time.
Roll on 2013, and again, my artwork took a side-line. I got my first job in the NHS as an Assistant Psychologist, which was full-on... but the discovery of Undertale brought me back for a little while!
In 2017, I finally got on my dream course: The Clinical Psychology Doctorate. Artwork became a myth as I plunged myself into my Thesis and clinical placements. I graduated in September 2020, mid-pandemic... I picked up my drawing tablet again, and promised to go back to my passion.
Today, as a fully qualified Clinical Psychologist, I still try to come back to art. It has a special place for me, as something that reminds me of my roots and brings a lot of joy. My presence may be sporadic on DeviantArt, but I always come back, because this is where I really started.
